 About RSD

Family Involvement:

We recognize that when parents are actively involved in their children's education, their children achieve more and attain higher levels of academic and social development. At RSD, families have many options to become intimately involved in their childrens' education and development including:
  • Early Childhood Center (ECC) faculty-parent dinners, home visits, and classroom holiday celebrations
  • ASL classes and special forums such as "Oral Motor Skills" presented by faculty and specialists
  • Special summer classes for the youngest center-based children
  • Special religious classroom celebrations including: Ramadan, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa presented by parents
  • Family kindergarten graduation celebration
In addition, we encourage parents to meet and network with other parents by taking advantage of monthly workshops and activities sponsored by RSD.
