Summer School

Summer School:

Extended School Year (ESY) programming is an important component of the Early Childhood Center (ECC). Many children need services to continue throughout the summer months to maintain and further their development.

We follow the RSD school curriculum and NYS Learning Standards while providing reinforcement services through a comprehensive array of recreational and learning activities, often taking advantage of the nice weather to promote natural learning.

In addition, we incorporate a variety of field trips, hands-on learning activities, and outdoor experiential activities to ensure that children enjoy all aspects of the learning process.

Children who are part of the ECC, and whose Committee on Special Education (CSE) or Committee on Pre-School Education (CPSE) has approved Extended Year Programming, are eligible for our summer program.
