School districts in Monroe County and surrounding counties can request that Rochester School for the Deaf provide a team of professionals to evaluate a child with hearing loss in the child's home setting. There, RSD staff can evaluate the child’s speech/language, communication, psychological assessment and educational needs. Many important factors are considered before services are provided by RSD's Travel Evaluation Team, including the availability of evaluators in, or traveling to, the child's family home location.
