St. Mary's School Tops Rochester in Boys Varsity Basketball 01/23/09
Rochester School for the Deaf Boys Varsity Basketball Team took on rival St Mary's for the Deaf on January 22, 2009.
The Wildcats took control of the game early and led by 11 points at end of the 1st quarter. In 2nd quarter action Rochester caused several turnovers and struggled shooting also. RSD gave up the lead and was down by 5 points at the half. At one point RSD was down 18 points and fought hard to climb back into the game. It was not enough however, and RSD lost 71-66. Wildcat Sophomore Sam Kemp led with 24 points. He completed four 3 point shots and had 4 steals also. Wildcat Senior Richard Spiecker scored 22 points. Rochester''s record is 3-7 on the season.
