In kindergarten through 12th grades, instruction at RSD includes:

• English Language Arts (ELA)
• American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Studies
• Mathematics, Science and Technology
• Social Studies
• Physical Education and Health
• Art and Music

RSD Elementary School is where students in kindergarten through 5th grade receive engaging learning experiences in multi-age classroom settings. Instruction is tailored to meet the needs of all learners, with special emphasis in the areas of English Language Arts and American Sign Language. Younger students benefit from collaborating with older children who, in turn, benefit by modeling teachers in their roles as mentors. In this way, students can take initiative and responsibility toward becoming self-advocates in their education.

For assistance in applying to RSD, to arrange for a campus tour, or for general intake referral information, call 585-336-5839 (Voice/TTY), or e-mail: Info@RSDeaf.org.
