 Extended School Year (ESY) programming is an important component of our school curriculum. Many children require services to continue throughout the summer months to maintain and further their development. We follow the RSD school curriculum and NYS Learning Standards while providing reinforcement services through a comprehensive array of recreational and learning activities.
In addition, we incorporate a variety of field trips, hands-on learning activities, and outdoor experiential activities to ensure that students take full advantage of all aspects of the learning process. Students who are enrolled at RSD as well as students form other schools whose Committee on Special Education (CSE) or Committee on Pre-School Education (CPSE) has approved Extended Year Programming, are eligible
for the RSD summer program.
