#NY12108KL2-Mile and 1-Mile Family Fun Walks Start:
Family Fun Walk is ideal for young families; from RSD to the Maplewood Rose Garden and back to the RSD campus.
Now in its 11th year, the RSD River Ramble 5K race begins and ends on the campus of the Rochester School for the Deaf and "rambles" through the beautiful Maplewood Rose Garden Park and along the breathtaking Genesee Riverway Trail. This is a USATF Certified Route #NY12108KL. Participants also have an option of walking a two-mile course along this trail, or venturing on the shorter one-mile "Family Fun Walk" to the Rose Garden Park and back. All are invited back to the campus afterwards for a family-friendly reception that includes plenty of free food, live ASL-interpreted music, kids games (including a dunk tank and bounce house) and prizes, Deaf-friendly vendors/crafters, raffles and much more! Bring a school supply (pens, pencils, pads, markers, binders, etc) to be entered into a drawing. Plenty of free parking.
