Rochester School for the Deaf Athletic Director and Head Boys Soccer Coach Mary Cook announced the selection of Ahmed Mahmoud, a junior midfield soccer player for RSD, as one of the SportsMX and National Deaf Interscholastic Athletic Association (NDIAA) Athletes of-the-Month for October 2015.

The Rochester soccer team was an offensive juggernaut this season and Ahmed was the force behind it. Leading the team to an impressive 16-3-2 record, which includes ESDAA championship and a runner-up finish in the league playoffs, Ahmed finished the season with an impressive 35 goals and six assists. He also earned two MVP awards and all-tournament selections at the RSD homecoming and ESDAA tournaments. As a team captain, Ahmed led his team by example with a strong work ethic and leadership on and off the field.
