September 2014

Dear Rochester School for the Deaf Students, Staff, Parents, Alumni, and the Rochester Deaf Community:

I would like to take this opportunity to say I am honored and feel very privileged to be your next superintendent. Rochester School for the Deaf (RSD) is one of the finest institutions in the nation that has a long history of educating Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. I have learned the Wildcats tradition of excellence is due to the wonderful people of our Deaf community and the hard work of our students and staff based on my visit on campus on August 4th and talking with numerous people on that day.

I deeply believe in a system that provides high expectations and success for all students. RSD is known not only for its academic excellence and extracurricular programs, but also for the positive and healthy relationships between staff and students.

Together, we will build on past achievements and move forward with ambitious goals.

I will post information on myself and my goals once I start my role at RSD. In addition, I would like to thank Dr. Mowl for extending his retirement date a little longer.

I look forward to meeting you and your children personally and hope that the rest of your summer is both safe and enjoyable.

With great Wildcat Pride!

Antony A.L. McLetchie
