The Fall 2014 issue of NADmag, a publication of the National Association of the Deaf, School Spotlight features nine Rochester School for the Deaf students grades 4th through 8th.

Last August, during students' extended school year, NAD's Director of Communications Ms. Lizzie Sorkin asked RSD students "Why is Deaf Awareness Week Important?" Teachers and students discussed the topic in their classes. Students responses, with their name, grade and picture, were collected and submitted to NAD for the School Spotlight feature.
