RSD Welcomes Robert Arcuri as Director of Facilities

ROCHESTER, NY – Rochester School for the Deaf (RSD) Superintendent and CEO Antony A. L. McLetchie recently appointed Robert Arcuri, of Cicero, NY, as Director of Facilities. Arcuri started shadowing RSD Director of Facilities Mike Kaiser beginning May 20. Kaiser will retire from RSD at the end of June after serving 35 years in various roles in the school’s maintenance, security, custodial, and grounds keeping departments. Kaiser also played a major role in the schools’ $14 million campus-wide buildings and grounds capital improvement project from 2000 to 2004.
Arcuri was Director of Facilities at Morrisville State College, in Morrisville, NY. Prior to that he was Senior Project Manager / Senior Construction Quality Control Manager at Lawman Heating & Cooling, in Sackets Harbor, NY. Arcuri has also held positions as a machinist, maintenance mechanic, and pipefitter. He is highly skilled in gas, plumbing, subcontracting, materials,
and boilers.
Arcuri is a strong operations professional holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management / Wood Products Engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry and an Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration from Morrisville State College. He holds licenses and certifications for OSHA Safety, Construction Documents and Law, and is a New York State Code Enforcement Official.
Arcuri and his wife Sueann have resided in Cicero for 23 years. Their daughters are Alyssa, 16, and Julia, 11. The Arcuri family are loyal Boston Bruins hockey fans, and daughter Alyssa, who has been playing hockey since age 6, plays in a travel hockey league.
