TAP Sweepstakes

At Rochester School for the Deaf, we believe that the most powerful lessons happen when students step beyond the classroom and into the world. Our Travel Abroad Program opens doors to transformative experiences, giving students access to culture, history, and global perspectives in their native language, American Sign Language.

In April 2026, RSD high school students will embark on an unforgettable journey to Italy, where history, art, and culture come alive. For most of our students, international travel is rare—and without programs like this, often inaccessible. The cost of flights, lodging, and programming is considerable, but the return is immeasurable: life-changing experiences, lasting confidence, and a deeper appreciation of the world and their place in it.

By supporting RSD’s Travel Abroad Program, you are helping Deaf students not only see the world but see themselves in the world.

The Travel Abroad advisors and students have been hard at work raising funds towards the their spring trip to Italy. Families contribute one-third of the cost, students raise one-third, and private funds donated to RSD cover the rest. This Sweepstakes is a very important part of the student fundraising goal, with prizes valued over $3,000.

We encourage you to jump in and donate to the trip by purchasing sweepstakes tickets for the opportunity possibly to win one or more of the great prizes listed below!

This sweepstakes is an important fundraiser organized by the Travel Abroad Program advisors to support students in meeting their fundraising goals for the trip.

Official Sweepstakes Rules

1) Sponsor: Rochester School for the Deaf

2) Eligibility:
Open to legal residents of the United States who are at least age 18 at the time of entry. Void where prohibited. Employees of the Sponsor may participate and are eligible to win. However, individuals directly involved in the administration of the sweepstakes, including the selection of winners, are not eligible to win prizes.

3) Sweepstakes Period:
Entries begin February 1 and end March 15, 2026.

4) How to Enter:
No purchase necessary; purchase does not improve chances of winning. All winners will be selected at random from eligible entries.

Paid Entry: Purchase tickets online HERE or in person from a Travel Abroad Program advisor or student, or from the main office in Westervelt Hall.
Free Entry Method: You may enter without purchase as follows:
- ONLINE (limited to one entry per email address) Click here to enter; and/or
- MAIL A POSTCARD with your name, address, phone number, and email to TAP Sweepstakes, Rochester School for the Deaf, 1545 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY 14621. Unlimited mail-in entries allowed; one entry per postcard. Entries must be received by March 13, 2026.

5) Winner Selection:
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries by March 20. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

6) Prizes:
The list of available prizes is included above for an estimated total prize value of $3,000.

7) Winner Notification:
Winners will be notified by email or phone within 30 days of the completion of the sweepstakes.

8) Taxes and Costs:
Winners are responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes and any additional costs not expressly included.

9) General Conditions & Dispute:
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the sweepstakes if fraud or technical failures compromise integrity.

11) List of Winners:
